This photo I found at the flea market Sunday. I was immediately attracted to the hat. What a fancy bonnet! I also wonder why this photo isn't in family album. I also love her clothes and gloves.
Did you happen to catch the Kentuck derby? I wish I would have placed a bet on Mine a Bird,
50-1 odds. What stash I could buy with those winnings! I also like looking at the ladies wearing the fancy bonnets at the derby, some are so outrageous.

That brings me to my hat collection. I thought you might like to look at part of my collection. I have put them on to go to parties, once to a quilt shop that was having "Wear your pretties bonnet" day, to work when we were having a contest. I tried to get Mackenzie to model a few, they look a lot better on. I have some with feathers, and some with bigger bows. I also bought the old vintage wool dress at an auction many years ago. It hangs on the manquin waiting to be worn again one day.

Great progress on the stocking, Tanya! YGG!
I love the hats. I'd love to wear hats, but I look horrible in them--it comes with having a big melon head, I think.
What great hats!! I love the vintage dress too. They all look so wonderful together! Your stocking is looking good too -- don't those eyelet letters take forever?
Great progress, Tan! Glad that your classes are over, looking forward to seeing lots of stitching pics with lots of progress!!

I love those old vintage photos. They always look sooo mad though, it cracks me up. That's very cool that you have a collection of hats. I like the way everybody wears them in England.
Way to go on the stocking, Tanya!!! What a fun hat collection you have and how fun to wear them once in a while. Enjoy classes being done and get lots of stitching done!
