I thought I would share my sampler wall today. I have been busy framing some of my samplers. I hated stuffing them in the drawer after I finished them. I wasn't really sure what I was going to do with them, so I grouped these together. I have a few others hanging through out the house.
I don't expect Better Homes and Gardens to be calling me anytime soon for a photo shoot. In fact, I am sure HGTV would be having nightmares on my decorating style. But it is my house and I love it. Now, I am not sure where I am going to hang Dutch Beauty, Mary Allen, Frances Eden or And They Sinned, etc. First I have to finish them.
I hope you enjoy looking at them. The three on the top row are from the 1990's. I used to visit a LNS in Crawfordsville. It is now closed and has been for a long time, but that is where I discovered my love for samplers. After it closed, the closes LNS was at the north side of Indianapolis, to far to drive with two small girls. A few years ago, I rediscovered cross stitch on the Internet and my passion for stitching returned with a vengeance.
I have a few other pictures to share. I live on a dangerous ninety degree curve, although it is marked people still miss the corner. I have had cars run into the trees & cars in the pond. One car caught on fire. No one has seriously been injured yet. We have asked the county to put up a guard rail. They came and put up four reflector post, that hasn't helped. The other night one of the neighborhood girl missed the corner and came close to being in the pond. The accidents usually happen in threes, so I will be expecting two more pretty soon. The second picture is from my neighbor's yard. Their pond is in the foreground and ours is in the background. She has a better view of my pond than I do.

I like your sampler wall! I wish I had a wall where I could hang a bunch of samplers, but my house doesn't really have one. :( As for your 90 degree curve -- thank goodness your house is set back enough that you don't have to worry about a car in your livingroom!! I sure hope there aren't anymore accidents!
Your sampler wall is so beautiful! I love it! Bet your home is very cozy and warm....
Oy, that curve! Unfortunately, it usually takes a tragic death to get the county to make improvements. Of course, I pray that never happens!!
Your pond is so nice, and it's like you have two :-)
That's a great sampler wall! Isn't it wonderful to have a collection to display? Gives you a real sense of accomplishment!
Oh, it looks great, Tan!!! Thanks for sharing the pic!! The ponds are so lovely!
I love your sampler wall, Tanya!! And your samplers themselves--YGG!!
Ack on that curve. I would be so freaked but thank God nothing tragic has happened. I hope the county puts up a guard rail before they regret it! Love the pic of your pond. It looks like such a peaceful, serene place.
Your sampler wall looks great! Don't you just love seeing everything you finished when you walk into a room! My husband is so anal he has a fit every time I get near a wall with a picture hanger and hammer!
I imagine it's quite dangerous to drive here, but it does look ever so pretty out there! Let's hope this particular accident happened in ones.
LOVE your sampler wall. Maybe we stitching bloggers should consider doing our own interior design magazine featuring nothing but sampler-filled homes.
Your sampler wall is gorgeous, thanks for sharing
I love your sampler wall, too, Tanya! Everything looks so nice all grouped together like that.
It's hard to imagine such beautiful place would be wrought with peril. Yikes!
Your wall looks wonderful. You'll find room for more. I'm thinking of boarding up some of my windows to make more wall space. Just kidding.
Love your sampler wall. YGG Ack... those 90 degree turns on the country road... glad the accidents haven't been too serious.
Your ponds look so serene.
Your sampler wall is wonderful!!! Good for you getting all those pieces out where you can enjoy them. Oooh, that curve by your home looks frightening...no wonder people have a hard time with it.
I love your sampler wall, Tanya! What's the pattern on the bottom right? I almost fell off my chair when you said I have to figure out where to hang Mary Allen, Dutch Beauty, ATS and one other one, I think. I thought, I can't believe she hasn't framed those!!!!
Yeah, HGTV would have a field day with my house ~ I can hear them now.... "We know you love it but all those stitching things on your walls HAVE TO GO! That cluttered and old fashioned look just isn't going to appeal to many buyers!" Thank God I'm not selling right now - not that I could anyway....
Love the curves in your road but I can imagine the crashes too - so not pretty.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Very beautiful pieces, I especially love the top middle sampler, oh so pretty!
