Go Colts/Esther

I had my worries there the Colts might not win. However, they prevailed and are off to the Superbowl. Congratulations Colts for being AFC Champs!

I finally have a finish in Esther. Whew! I was beginning to wonder if I would ever had any finishes. I got down to putting Esther's name on the design and didn't realize how difficult it is to stitch over 1 on 40ct. A new appreciation on my level to anyone that tackles this feat. I thought I was going to go crosseyed.
It is not a great picture since the sun doesn't want to stay out to long in Indiana. I changed the colors quite a bit to reds instead of peach.

I thought I would share a couple of other things I enjoy doing. Here is one of my hooked rugs - Mr. Snowman. I took a class off of Margo White a few years ago and this was the class project.

And needle punching. I like the frame so I stuck it in here until I can find something better. This design is by M.Shaw called Flower Basket. If you haven't tried needle punching you should give it a try. It eats a lot of thread but goes really fast.

I can't believe February will be here soon. My classes are just starting they are aren't as bad as last semester so hopefully I will have more time to stitch. Yay!

I saw a cute movie last weekend called Leap Year. It is a cute romantic movie. I really loved the Ireland scenery.

Until next time, happy stitching!

The sampler is great. I love the snowman as well. The blue is such a wonderful color. I have never tried needlepunch but that design is so pretty. I really like the frame. Awesome stuff.

Wow! Love your Esther -- she's so pretty! And the rug hooking and needle punching -- they're both really nice too! I didn't know you did these! You need to give a class so I can learn. :D

YGG... all of your finishes look fabulous. Love Esther and I agree about the over one on 40 ct. I don't think my Hannah Pepper will ever be completed because of all that over one verse...Yuck!
I hope to take a rug hooking class ant my not so local LNS in the spring.

Esther looks great. I like how you changed the colours to make it pop!

And you've been busy with other finishes too - how talented are you! Well done!

Esther is beautiful, and your hooking and punching...now I'm jealous :)
The sun isn't out at all and hasn't been out at all for about what a week or more now? :)
Spitting snow here too....

Love Esther Tanya! She's really pretty - I don't think I realized that the colors were so nice on this piece. And I love your rug too - I just signed up for a series of rug hooking classes and I can hardly wait. I found a great A&E rug that I have to make, but figured I needed lessons first!!

And I really like your needlepunch piece too. Something I haven't tried yet, but I'd like to because the pieces always look so nice.

Great sampler, Tanya. You did a great job on her! I love your hooked rug - I really do want to learn that craft one day - love punchneedle but haven't done hooking yet. All great pieces - thanks for sharing.
